Simple and stepped up Xmas card

Hi everyone,

I am a bit late with my card this week, I know, but here is the reason: I have very little time lately and I realy wanted to play along with the merry monday challenge since quiet some time now. This weekend (long 3day weekend 🙂 ), I was in a Xmas kind of mood. How that is possible when it is 28°C instead of -20°C, I don’t know, but I was… I made a card using the merry monday challenge and this weeks dynamic duo, made my pics but had no time to post it. And while it was laying the past two days, I thought something was missing, it was too simple. So I decided to MAKE time and try to step up my card. I just finished it, made my pics, and here they are: first of all the simple one, and after that my stepped up version (which I enter for the challenges). Hope you like it!

Simple version:

Stepped up version: Several base layers, added smootch spritz to the background (although difficult to see on the picture), made my own coordinating buttons using copics, added some stitching and the sentiment is popped up twice.

And of course the inside:

I am sorry for the quality of the pictures, it is dark outside already and have no good light… :s

See ya later…

  1. Both cards are just beautiful and very elegant. I love the added stitched effect and how you've finished off the inside of your card. Thanks for joining us at Merry Monday this week!

  2. I would never have picked these two colors for a snowy card but you have shown me that it's a wonderful combo! I love the tiny ornaments on that vast sea of snowflakes! So glad to see you at Dynamic Duos!

  3. Lovely CAS card—I like both versions! Sweet to use the buttons as ornaments!
Thanks for playing with the Merry Monday sketch this week!
